Unless you have been under a rock or without a TV or newspaper you probably know Rosie and her 3 cubs made the news when they crossed the Yellowstone River bridge near Tower Junction several days ago. A ranger stopped people on the Tower side but, since there was only one of him, he couldn’t stopped people on the Lamar Valley side. He yelled really loud and tried, but some people ignored him. The video is all over the place but if you haven’t seen it it is on Deby’s Yellowstone Daily Facebook page.
The text with the video explained that some of the people didn’t move very fast whereas some reporters said Rosie and her cubs were chasing the people. That is ridiculous. Rosie and her cubs were scared to death. I hate misinformation so I made a little movie to explain what was really going on and what a sweet bear Rosie is.
I am so glad you all feel this way. It reminds me I am not alone in my thinking. One of the real gifts of Yellowstone is finding like minded people who love the animals as much as I do. Thank you all!!
Judy the news reports what sells. Thank you for being honest and true for this family of bears. They deserve more than what was said about them in the news. Thank you for your knowledge and truthfulness.
Thank you for this objective report. Too bad (social) media seem to create more and more craziness.
I’m glad there are still a few people out there who have known these bears for a longer time and who have the experience to write about their lives.

Thank you for this Judy! You have done an excellent job in portraying the real Rosie and discrediting any story that Rosie was at fault.
Too bad they don’t report this on the news and report how ignorant the people were thinking a picture is worth stressing out the bears this much.
