Just Wild Horses

As many of you know, I recently visited the wild horses at McCullough Peaks near Cody, WY.  As always, my time with the horses was a magical experience and I really don’t have much else to add to that.  The images speak for themselves.

One special moment was when Lansa, the stud cold that was born on my birthday last year, came and found me.  He kept watching me – I don’t know why, he just seemed interested.

Lansa, stud colt born on my birthday last year, found me while I was photographing some other horses.  He looks good.

  1. Mercy! They’re beautiful but what a rough looking life they seem to be enduring. It makes me stop and wonder if it’s best for them to be free and struggling (?) with their wildness or would they be better off tame and cared for, clean and well fed by a human. I truly see both sides.

  2. I can’t pick a favorite because they are all so great. Nice light and wonderful composition. I’ll be back to look at this posting many times.
