Two years ago we spent a lot of time watching a pair of sandhill cranes nesting and raising their babies at Floating Island Lake on the north side of Yellowstone. One day while we were watching and filming the family a black bear appeared and did something I have never seen before and will most probably never see again. I feel very lucky I was able to film it.

It is amazing that such big birds have such tiny babies. I don’t know how they keep from stepping on them.
This is amazing footage and narration. Thank you so much for sharing your experience.
That was an incredible experience you had and to be able to video the crane and black bear like that was amazing. Thank you for posting!
